Call for Papers

Founded in 2007, the Conference on Frontiers of Algorithmic Wisdom (FAW) provides an international forum for advances in algorithms, optimization, and theoretical computer science. IJTCS-FAW 2026 celebrates the 20th edition of FAW, marking two decades of research and scholarly exchange. The conference is currently part of the CCF High-Quality International Academic Conference Incubation Program.

IJTCS-FAW 2026 will take place , in Beijing, China. The program will feature invited talks, technical paper presentations, and academic forums across algorithms, blockchain, computational economics, and algorithmic game theory.

Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished research papers through OpenReview. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and evaluated for originality, technical soundness, significance, and overall contribution. Submissions must not be under simultaneous review by another conference or journal.

Tracks

Papers will be reviewed within four tracks. Typical but not exclusive topics of interest are listed below.

Track A

Frontiers of Algorithmic Wisdom

This track focuses on current and emerging research in algorithms, discrete structures, optimization, complexity, and learning-augmented methods. Typical but not exclusive topics of interest are:

This track focuses on theoretical and technological advances in blockchain, distributed ledgers, cryptoeconomic systems, and decentralized markets. Typical but not exclusive topics of interest are:

Submission Format

Authors are invited to submit papers presenting original research related to one or more IJTCS-FAW 2026 tracks. A submission should begin with the paper title and a brief summary of its contributions, followed by a technical exposition of the main ideas and techniques, motivation, and a clear comparison with related work. Authors must submit the full paper for review.

  • Length: No more than 12 single-spaced pages, excluding the title page and references.
  • Layout: Use a font size of at least 11 points and margins of at least one inch on all sides. Submissions using the Springer LNCS format may follow the standard LNCS font size and margins.
  • Appendix: Additional material may be included in a clearly marked appendix of arbitrary length. The Program Committee will consult appendices at its discretion, so the main paper should contain the material needed to evaluate the central claims.
  • Review model: IJTCS-FAW 2026 uses double-blind review. Authors' names, affiliations, and email addresses must not appear in the submission, and prior work by the authors should be discussed in a neutral manner.
  • Public versions: Work previously posted on arXiv or a similar public repository is eligible, provided that the submitted manuscript is properly anonymized and the work has not appeared in archival proceedings.
  • Originality: Submissions must not have been published or accepted by an archival conference or journal and must not be under simultaneous review elsewhere.

Submissions that substantially deviate from the stated format or length may be rejected without review. See the Submission Guidelines for a concise author checklist and formatting link.

WINE and ISAAC Fast Tracks

Fast-track deadline: (AoE).

IJTCS-FAW 2026 welcomes fast-track submissions of papers that were submitted to, but not accepted at, WINE 2026 or ISAAC 2026. The paper must fit at least one IJTCS-FAW 2026 track and must not have been published, accepted, or remain under review at another archival venue.

Submit the following materials through the IJTCS-FAW 2026 OpenReview site and select the appropriate WINE Fast Track or ISAAC Fast Track option in the submission form:

  • A revised, anonymous manuscript using any one of the IJTCS-FAW 2026, WINE 2026, or ISAAC 2026 submission formats. The manuscript must comply with the page limit and other requirements of the selected format.
  • The complete WINE 2026 or ISAAC 2026 reviews, as applicable, reproduced verbatim and without editing in a clearly labelled appendix after the references.
  • A brief Changes and Response statement explaining how the revision addresses the prior reviews. This statement may appear in the same appendix and does not count toward the page limit of the selected submission format.

Prior review material will be visible only to the IJTCS-FAW 2026 chairs and designated reviewers. Fast-track submissions will be evaluated using the prior reviews, the authors' response, and any additional assessment requested by the IJTCS-FAW Program Committee. Participation in either fast track does not guarantee acceptance.

Publication

The conference proceedings are planned for publication by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Final-manuscript page allocation and production instructions will be provided to accepted authors. Selected papers will be invited to submit extended versions to the journals listed on the Special Issue page.
